WHO WE ARE:Gippsland PHN is a not for profit charity that works at a regional level to achieve improved whole of system health care. Our vision is for a Measurably Healthier Gippsland.
We work closely with the primary health care system, identifying opportunities to improve health outcomes in Gippsland communities. We do this through health system improvement programs, and by commissioning services to address local health needs via our regional commissioning role.
We aim to:
- ensure health issues are prioritised, understood and invested in; using local strengths;
- build and support local capability in primary health care professionals;
- enable transparent communication and information exchange across the primary health care sector; and
- improve access in primary health services particularly for those at risk of poor health outcomes, and where gaps exist in hard to reach locations.
Procurement and Contracts Officer
Do you have excellent administration skills, with experience in financial literacy and accurate document processing?
We currently have a part time (0.6FTE) career opportunity available as Procurement and Contracts Officer, reporting to the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts. This role is one of two primary day to day contacts for contract drafting and associated administration across Gippsland PHN.
The role is responsible for:
- all contract drafting and related administration inclusive of contract variations;
- identifying and contributing to systemic changes in the Procurement and contracting areas to improve processes;
- contributing to staff and organisational capacity around Procurement and contracting activities; and
- adding value by supporting robust contract management processes.
We are looking for an astute, agile, dynamic, outcomes focused team member. Use your skills to complete work packages including but not limited to:
- Using existing contract templates to complete all tasks associated with the planning, preparation, drafting, approvals, offers, execution, handover and variations of contracts during normal and peak Procurement and contracting cycles;
- Using defined process, and with guidance from experienced staff, contribute to tender administration as required;
- Enter, review and monitor Procurement and contract information into the Gippsland PHN Contracts Register/System and generate regular and ad-hoc reports for the leadership team and contract managers;
- Use workflows in the document management systems through all phases of contract drafting, handover and execution;
- Comply with relevant statutory requirements in order for Gippsland PHN to achieve value for money in its procurement operations;
- Provide considered advice to the Coordinator Procurement and Contracts; ensuring challenges, opportunities and key issues are identified; and
- Provide training to Gippsland PHN staff in the basic operation of the Gippsland PHN Contracts Register/System and their role within the system.
