Senior Commercial Analyst

About the role

• The role will be part of a high performing team that delivers a high quality commercial, financial and operational analysis service to the executive leadership and operational leadership groups within the organisation.
• The role uses health information and financial datasets to analyse and provide independent assessment of business proposals and initiatives, builds commercial modelling to support operational, strategic and investment decisions and provides insight and advice to support the planning and operationalising of new health and commercial infrastructure. The role contributes to the annual budget planning process by modelling resource requirements against forecasted activity.

• Demonstrated detailed knowledge of the business and clinical processes associated with operating a health care organisation.
• Demonstrated knowledge of financial management systems, practices and procedures within the government healthcare environment and the ability to apply such instruments to clinical and non-clinical operating environments.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the activity based funding framework and the application of such a framework in a commercialised business environment.
• Demonstrated conceptual, analytic and problem solving skills including the ability to analyse evidence, interpret data from diverse financial, activity and clinical information systems, identify opportunities and risks, prepare and present information, reports, submissions, and documentation of a complex nature.
• Demonstrated experience and proven skills in data management, data modelling, data analysis and developing complex dashboards using Business intelligence tools (e.g. QlikSense, Power BI)
