Your role adds value by undertaking financial and commercial analysis and reporting and works on complex projects as part of a diverse project team.
In this role, you will:
Manage or participate in projects, work teams and group activities, including planning activities.
Manage the preparation and provision of high level and expert advice to government and stakeholders on complex commercial issues.
Undertake rigorous analysis of risks and options available to government for major projects, property transactions and policy and provision of government services.
Contribute to developing solutions that satisfy the State's economic and financial objectives and protect the State's interests, including advising Government in relation to:
• financing, funding, delivery and ownership models and alternative ways of procuring and funding property projects and services having regard to the State's fiscal principles
• appropriate ways of managing key commercial and financial risks in the procurement and delivery of major infrastructure, property and service projects.
Liaise, negotiate, develop and maintain positive working relationships and partnerships with internal and external clients and stakeholders.
Prepare reports, submissions, briefing notes, commentary, policy, presentations, documents, publications and correspondence.
What experience you will bring:
• exceptional stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
• experience in financial and commercial analysis
• experience preparing strategic advice for senior decision makers
• strong written and verbal communication skills
There are no mandatory qualifications needed for this role, however, relevant financial and commercial qualifications and experience in project and/or transaction management would be highly regarded.
