The opportunity:
This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Senior Commercial Manager to join the GS APAC Commercial Function. The role will be responsible for supporting commercial aspects following a recent acquisition. The Senior Commercial Manager will play a pivotal role in collaboratively working with the customer and the line of business to establish a sound understanding of existing and new commercial arrangements, to enable contract compliance and project fulfillment. This individual will leverage their specialised knowledge and skills to address complex and unique challenges, evaluating and managing project commercial risks. Additionally, they will be responsible for interfacing with internal business functions to align the project's finance, insurance, controls, estimating, compliance, and procurement activities with KBR's internal policies.
This position is a permanent full-time opportunity and can be based in either Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane or Adelaide.
Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of the role will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide strategic support for commercial activities
- Establish and nurture business relationships with the line of business and customers to facilitate organic growth opportunities
- Contribute to the overall business development strategy by leveraging commercial acumen
- Identify and manage commercial risks, opportunities, and issues across designated areas of work
- Ensure development and execution of comprehensive commercial documentation and compliance with business processes
As the ideal candidate, you will bring:
- Active AGSVA security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Legal or Finance or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience working in defence commercial management (Industry and/or Government), with working knowledge of the ASDEFCON suite
- Prior experience in Information Technology, Software Development and Intellectual Property
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate and influence
- Demonstrated ability to establish quality relationships
- Well-developed communication skills
