The Role

As our Senior Commercial Manager, you will leverage your commercial mindset as you deliver the expression of interest, request for proposal and subsequent evaluation, negotiations and award of:

  • Primary construction contracts for EPC (including fully wrapped or split contract structures, as the case may be)
  • Primary supply and install contracts for OEM
  • Commercial negotiation of grid and associated connection agreements
  • Consultant service contract (engineering, environment and support)
  • Early contractor involvement contracts for civil, electrical and mechanical works (engineering procurement construct & original equipment manufacturer)

Primarily, you will manage the project major contracting on our clients on-shore portfolio towards setting up contracts prior to being administered and the negotiation up to and including execution. You’ll lead on developing project contract strategies and their successful implementation so to realize the required investment risk profile and project objectives. 

You’ll be responsible for cultivating and managing contractor relationships, maintaining an understanding of the contractor and equipment supply market (from commercial perspective). 

You will drive the end-to-end tendering process - including developing the processes and documentation for EOIs, RFPs, evaluation strategies, plans and criteria. You’ll manage tenderers queries, solution development and proactively manage and report on progress at interim and final award meetings.

You’ll ensure the tendering and approval process aligns with project development gates, project governance needs, and that tenders and contracts align with strategic imperatives on commercial objectives and outcomes.


Our ideal candidate will have recent experience (within the last 3 years) in leading the tendering and award of large EPC (or similar contracts) in excess of $200 million representing the asset owner and ideally in the renewable energy generation sector. If you have experience working as a Commercial Manager in major contracting, managing a more dynamic, fluid market, we want to hear from you.
