About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager Commercial and Maritime Services, you will play a key role in in the senior management team. The Senior Manager Commercial & Trade Development position is a multi-faceted position which will lead multiple commercial functions and oversee commercial activities, stakeholder relationship management, property portfolio, trade growth while driving the business strategy in line with NQBP corporate plan. The role is integral in identifying new Trade Development opportunities, and providing commercial opportunities that create value for both NQBP potential and existing client base.
You will be a dedicated leader with a high level of commercial acumen, who is involved in managing and developing the talent pool to meet NQBP’s current and future commercial and trade requirements. Other responsibilities include contributing to the integration and application of safety, security, risk management, and sustainability frameworks across the business, and ensuring compliance with policies and relevant legislation.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Tertiary qualification in Business, Commerce, Planning, Management, or equivalent,
- Significant management experience in developing commercials that support major infrastructure projects & logistics
- Significant experience in contract development, negotiation, management and implementation
- Significant experience in the management and marketing of a port or similar infrastructure facility
- Demonstrated knowledge of general port operations, shipping characteristics, marketing principles, financial processes and budgeting, and tenure and property management.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking and high-level abilities in stakeholder management and establishing effective relationships with a diverse range of clients and stakeholders.
