About the Role
Based at our Perth office, this role will deliver high quality and effective communications plan and material to support engagement with external and internal stakeholders across our Western Australia, Northern Australia and Timor-Leste region, aligned with Santos’ brand and corporate strategy.
Accountabilities for this position are to implement effective internal and external communication plans through:
- Development of communication materials to support regional external (e.g. fact sheets, website and social media content) and internal (e.g. local townhalls, business updates to staff) communications.
- Working collaboratively with the stakeholder consultation team to deliver high quality and effective communications plans and material that support required engagement.
- Supporting regional external communications activities including media statements, executive speeches and presentations.
- Delivering graphic design content that is consistent with Santos’ brand requirements.
- Support Santos’ corporate communications and ESG reporting, including pro-active story identification.
About You
We are seeking a talented, strategic, and motivated communications professional with the following experience:
- Demonstrated achievement in a corporate communications role.
- Advanced writing, editing and verbal communications skills.
- Ability to effectively project manage external consultants and contractors.
- Experience coordinating cross organisational projects and initiatives.
- Experience in development and implementation of local and First Nation participation strategies.
- A diverse problem-solver with the ability to influence stakeholders.
- Extensive experience in community engagement, communications, government affairs or external affairs.
- Existing, relevant relationships and networks with external groups including government, WA 1st Nation communities, NGOs and organisations would be advantageous.
Ideally, you have tertiary qualifications in a relevant field (e.g. Communication, Community & Aboriginal Affairs, Business etc) or demonstrate significant training and experience within directly relevant role(s), within large corporate environments.
