About the role:

As a Senior Communications Advisor in our corporate team, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our internal and external narratives, ensuring alignment with our brand guidelines and strategic objectives. Reporting to the National Communications and Engagement Manager, this high-visibility role is crucial to the team’s success in delivering high-impact communication to our business and stakeholders.  

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement communication strategies: craft and execute comprehensive communication and employee engagement plans that resonate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Master of clarity: communicate complex ideas in clear, concise language tailored to diverse audiences, both internal and external.
  • Guardian of consistency: maintain exceptional attention to detail to uphold messaging consistency and brand integrity across all platforms.
  • Winning content creation: create compelling content that tells our story effectively across various channels — internal communications, external media, and social platforms.
  • Champion of campaigns: drive campaigns focused on wellbeing, health, safety, environmental sustainability, and other critical initiatives.

The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and a minimum of 10 years experience in a similar role.
  • Extensive knowledge of marketing and communication principles and practices, including digital marketing, content planning, public relations, and communication.
  • Previous experience managing value propositions, brand strategies, and internal communication channels.
  • High energy level to work in a fast-paced organisation and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate excellent attention to detail and the ability to negotiate positive outcomes for stakeholders.
  • Outstanding oral and written communication and interpersonal skills for regularly consulting key stakeholders across the organisation; and developing content for new media and internal communication.
  • Content creation for digital production, graphic design and use of Adobe Creative Suite applications is highly desirable.
