You will play a pivotal role as a valued leader and storyteller in driving meaningful strategic communications that builds WSP's brand and engages our people and clients.
What you'll do:
As our Senior Communications Manager, you will be responsible for leading strategic communications and content strategies that builds our brand and engages our people and clients to achieve the firm's strategic goals.
Based in either Sydney, Brisbane or Melbourne and reporting to the Head of Marketing & Communications, this role will collaborate with senior leaders, subject matter experts and the Clients, Markets and Growth team to deliver strategic communications across our firmwide channels.
This is an opportunity to drive meaningful engagement across both internal and external communications and championing a one brand voice.
This role will lead a small team; managing and mentoring team members to be high performing, embedding best practice and building a strong, positive culture.
You will also be:
- Leading the external and internal communications strategies focused on achieving one brand voice
- Providing strategic communications advice and support to drive outcomes with key stakeholders
- Author and review high-quality external and internal communications content including thought leadership, press releases and articles
- Reviewing marketing and communications content to ensure consistent brand messaging and strategic alignment to business objectives.
- Collaborating and contributing towards global communications activities
- Monitoring media coverage and industry developments to identify both opportunities and risks, adjusting strategies and advice to enhance reputation and proactively manage potential issues.
- Cultivating proactive relationship management of communication systems providers
- Overseeing measurement and analytics to ensure continuous improvement of communications approaches and tactics.
- Champion WSP's Guiding Principles and ensure a safe working environment is always maintained
About You
- We are looking for a creative, positive, enthusiastic team player who is truly passionate about their work!
- Other key attributes are:
- Extensive and solid experience working in B2B communications or public affairs roles, preferably at an agency or consultancy or in-house
- Tertiary education is desirable, but not essential if you have the relevant industry experience
- Accountable and reliable
- Understands how to work effectively within corporate environments
- Has a proactive attitude and willingness to contribute new ideas
- Both naturally creative and highly organised
