What You Will Be Doing

The SCM will work closely with the NCHA Director and core team to drive strategic communications for the Centre aligned to the business objectives. The position will also act as the key liaison point between the Centre and the partner organisations’ Marketing and Communications Teams to ensure broad alignment with Monash University and Peninsula Health’s strategies and channels.

The SCM will be primarily responsible for developing and implementing NCHA’s annual strategic communications and marketing plan. This includes measurable, targeted outreach strategies to create audience growth and engagement, promoting the Centre’s business objectives and outcomes, and positioning the NCHA Director and researchers as ‘thought leaders’ and experts in their field. This includes managing strategies and campaigns across key marketing channels, including the NCHA website, social media channels, multi-media, e-newsletters, publications, conference and industry marketing channels, and media.

What You Need

We anticipate you will have:
• A degree qualification in the field of journalism, communications, marketing, and or/public relations, with extensive experience in communications,
• Minimum five years marketing or communications industry experience
• Extensive experience with a proven track record in managing communications and/or marketing campaigns across various print and digital channels to a wide range of audiences
• Demonstrated proven ability to develop and implement successful marketing and communication approaches with key target audiences, particularly when it is required to articulate technical information to a broad audience

*Please refer to salary circular Victorian Public Health Sector (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers) Single Enterprise Agreement 2021- 2025 for salary range. Sub-grading will be based on years of experience.
