About Your Opportunity
Reporting to our Community Engagement Team Leader, you will manage the development, implementation and evaluation of stakeholder and Community Engagement strategies that build stakeholder, customer and community awareness, knowledge, trust and advocacy of the organisation’s strategic objectives.
This role is responsible for:
- Developing strategic communication and engagement plans for minor to moderate infrastructure projects, operational and maintenance activities, and other initiatives in order to build advocacy and social licence.
- Identifying and providing recommendations on the management of Community Engagement issues to mitigate enterprise risks and enhance Seqwater's brand, reputation, and relationships.
- Developing and managing effective working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including community and special interest groups within Seqwater’s network.
- Providing specialist engagement advice and working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to support the delivery of engagement projects and initiatives.
- Providing specialist advice and support in response to emerging community and reputational issues, including enquiries from elected representatives relating to minor to moderate infrastructure projects; operational and maintenance activities; and customer service matters.
- Developing and implementing key performance indicators which measure the success and value of engagement and communication activities.
- Participating in a 24/7 on call roster to support Seqwater’s Emergency Management function and Flood Operations Centre.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
- Demonstrated experience in the development and implementation of communication and engagement strategies within a high-profile environment.
- Demonstrated written and oral communications experience, including preparation of high-quality communications for various channels, purposes and audiences in an accurate, timely, consistent and customer-focused manner.
- Demonstrated issues management experience and proven success in building relationships with the community and delivering in high pressure situations.
- Unrestricted driver’s licence for a motor vehicle.
- Alignment with Seqwater values.
This position has a salary starting at $108,587.22 – $118,141.34 plus 12.75% superannuation.
