About the team
The Community Buildings team looks after a portfolio of over 1,400 buildings across the Gold Coast, including our iconic galleries, auditoriums, stadiums, sports and recreation centres, community centres, libraries, and lifeguard facilities.
The team is responsible for delivering lifecycle management for the portfolio, maximising the benefit derived from these assets to our community and supporting the community services operating from them. We do this by building dedicated capability in three core work streams: asset management and compliance, capital works planning, and maintenance planning and specification.
About your new role
As Senior Specialist Community Facilities, you will provide specialist strategic and stakeholder management for the capital works and maintenance management needs of major Community Facilities such as HOTA, Bruce Bishop carpark, Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre and others as required.

We're looking for people who have:
- Proven experience in consulting, engaging and negotiating with key stakeholders, with the ability to influence timeframes, project outcomes and objectives.
- Highly developed analytical, problem solving and investigative skills to facilitate decision-making.
- Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills which includes negotiation, consultation and presentation skills.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of relevant legislation, policies and processes that affect the delivery of projects.
- A high level of motivation and adaptability, with the ability to prioritise and multi-task in a dynamic environment.
- A Bachelor Degree of Engineering
- A Bachelor Degree of Project Management/Facilities Management or equivalent knowledge.
- Current Australian ‘C’ Class Driver Licence.
