As the Senior Consultant - Projects, you will partner with all areas of Organisational Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) to deliver strategic projects to support the continuous improvement of health, safety and wellbeing in the Department. This role will report to the Manager, Performance and Reporting, Organisational Safety and Wellbeing.

About the Role:
Responsibilities will Include:
- Experience in delivering key projects including policy and procedure development and review, coordination, and communication to achieve project outcomes.
- Strong working knowledge and application of WorkCover Qld application review and appeal processes and legislative framework.
- Sound understanding of client needs to facilitate quality rehabilitation, return to work and wellbeing initiatives throughout the Department.
- Experience in providing comprehensive rehabilitation and return to work advisory services for complex cases, keeping with the Department's priorities and relevant policy, standards and legislation.
- Provide high level, timely expert advice to managers, employees and other stakeholders on a range of complex and sensitive wellbeing, injury management, and rehabilitation and return to work issues to ensure positive outcomes for the Department.
- Contribute to the development of strategies and programs to prevent workplace injuries, improve return to work timeframes, and promote better employee outcomes.
- Maintain sound knowledge of contemporary rehabilitation practices to ensure currency of knowledge and skills to provide best practice advice, supporting positive outcomes or solutions for clients.
- Experience in providing professional and practical strategic advice to senior managers and employees in health and safety legislative requirements and practical application.
- Strong stakeholder management and engagement skills to support all aspects of the delivery of key activities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the preparation of communication material and presentations, facilitating discussions and documenting decisions and feedback.
