About the RoleCouncil’s Civil Asset Management branch delivers roughly $30M in road and infrastructure assets on the Sunshine Coast each year. They are responsible for providing high level maintenance, construction and asset management services for all road and related infrastructure assets (pavements, bridges, drainage, pathways and street furniture). As the Senior Contracts Administrator, you will provide expert contract and procurement management advice to the team and the Manager. You will provide specialised senior contract administration services in relation to Civil Construction Projects including, but not limited to:Prepare contract packages, scopes and procurement schedules to contribute to the contract management of all Civil Construction projects. Act as a key contact for the on-boarding and management of awarded contracts/contractors.Develop and prepare correspondence, reports and submissions including regular, timely and accurate reporting on contract and unit performance.Develop procurement strategies to establish and manage business needs.About youYou are qualified in the field of business, project management or engineering, with knowledge of Procurement and Contract Management strategies / processes.You are diligent, technically adept and able to work out quantities, manage contracts and work delivered. You have experience developing technical specifications and applying the procedures and standard requirements for procurement of services.Your outstanding interpersonal skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities, as well as strong time management skills, are essential to your success. Pivotal to this position is a sound knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use other standard Microsoft products and council software applications, ideally Project Management office.
