Reporting to the Project Controls Manager on a maximum-term contract, theSenior Cost Controller will support the Project team by ensuring that accurate and timely cost information is available to facilitate effective and efficient decision making.
You will proactively analyse cost performance and trends, raise concerns, identify risks and issues, and manage costs. Additionally, you will plan, monitor, and report the status of man-hours, indirect costs, and capital costs by applying the Company's cost management methodology, procedures, and systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sound knowledge of project controls, including budget management, change management, expenditure control, and forecasting, to assist the project to completion within approved cost, schedule, quality, and performance criteria.
- Earned Value Analysis, Cost Reporting, and Cost Performance evaluation.
- Prepare project accruals based on accounting principles.
- Demonstrate the ability to develop sound working relationships with the project team in the delivery of value-added management information.
- Review and prepare documentation throughout the project controls processes.
- Have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Other tasks as required by the business or as directed by your manager.
Key Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, engineering, construction, or equivalent.
- High level of PRISM G2 proficiency and ERP interface experience.
- Minimum of three years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the mining sector.
- Manual C Class Drivers License.
- Systems implementation experience, including interfacing ERP systems to cost software.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
