  • Lead the development of original, responsive and compelling insights and stories that can engage diverse audiences (including local and international audiences), complex stakeholders and communities.
  • Lead and undertake research, planning and management of the delivery of curatorial content including producing/advising on a range of complementary produced experiences including curation of the exhibition space, public programs, Education and learning programs, digital and related projects (including but not limited to publications, documents, community outreach, oral histories and social media).
  • Lead, manage and liaise with external and internal stakeholders in the delivery of an immersive visitor experience including regular reporting and presentation of progress within the project.
  • Work with internal stakeholders to ensure that infrastructure and systems are utilised effectively to archive, manage and facilitate access to curatorial insights and knowledge for internal and external customers.
  • Prepare, present and participate in public engagement activities on-site and off-site to represent the Tasmanian Holocaust Education and Interpretation Centre with potential partners and stakeholders with the aim of developing new relationships.
  • Navigate the often complex, operational needs and challenges through detailed information gathering, analysis and problem solving across different teams and functions in the organisation.
  • Liaise with the Senior Curator, Cultural Heritage to ensure the Tasmanian Holocaust Education and Interpretation Centre is aligned and consistent with the TMAG strategic plan.
Essential Requirements
  • An appropriate related degree in an appropriate course of study from a recognised university
Desirable Requirements
  • Understanding and appreciation of the role of museums in society and the importance of heritage collections
  • Postgraduate qualifications in Cultural Heritage or Museum Studies
  • A current drivers licence
