Job description

The establishment of Cladding Safety Victoria (CSV) by the Victorian Government is a world-leading initiative. The $600 million program aims to make Victorians safer by reducing the risk associated with combustible cladding on residential apartment buildings and publicly owned buildings.
We work with owners and owners' corporations to help them rectify non-compliant or non-conforming external wall cladding products on buildings. We do this by providing support, guidance and connections to appropriately registered and qualified practitioners.
Initially set up as a business unit of the Victorian Building Authority (VBA), CSV recruited staff and built the policies and procedures needed to deliver the program from the ground up. In late 2020, CSV was established as its own statutory entity with its own Act of Parliament.
About the role
A great opportunity exists to utilise your Customer Liaison skills to support the operations of the Stakeholder Engagement team at Cladding Safety Victoria.
* Fixed term, full-time vacancy for 12 months
* VPS Grade 5: $106,534pa to $128,897pa plus superannuation

Job Purpose
The Senior Customer Liaison Officer acts as the primary interface between Cladding Safety Victoria (CSV) and building owners.
Core responsibilities include representing CSV with key stakeholders, explaining evolving government policy and how it relates to individual cases, providing advice to owners (both funded and unfunded) about the process for rectifying buildings, supporting affected building owners through the Cladding Rectification Program (CRP), liaising with technical staff regarding technical questions and actively monitoring the progress of each building, importantly updating stakeholders along the way.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
* Represent CSV (and the Victorian Government) with its primary stakeholder groups including owners, industry and local government.
* Provide specialist high-care customer support to drive progress for projects and cases, both internally and externally, including bringing together relevant parties to reach an outcome.
* Apply knowledge of stakeholder issues, CSV policy and process to influence positive outcomes with owners in respect to cladding solutions.
* Provide advice and expertise about individual cases in a timely and accurate manner.
