Your role as the Senior Cyber Security Advisor is to partner with and support the Business to implement secure solutions.
Why the role matters
- Understand security architecture- develop, evaluate, and critique design and integration approaches.
- Articulate complex technical designs into requirements.
- Understand attack vectors and how to design and articulate security controls to protect against them.
- Translate complex technical security issues through a business lens.
- Provide technical advice relating to Origin's security standards and strategies.
- Collaborate with internal team members to provide the best security service to the Business and to continually improve processes.
- Translate security deficiencies into well-articulated risks for business consumption and action.
What you will bring
You consider yourself to be a Cyber Security professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment. You are an organised individual, a self-starter and are outcomes orientated. You have a degree or certifications in IT, Security, Risk, Engineering, Software Development, Architecture or Design or similar.
- Min 10 years working experience in roles spanning security, security risk management, security assurance, security control management, third party risk management, solution design and architecture.
- Experience in developing security best practices, standards and guidelines.
- Application and interpretation of standards such as ISO27001, PCI DSS.
- Exercising influence with high level business and technical stakeholders to achieve secure outcomes.
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, report writing and presentation skills for business stakeholders.
- Task prioritisation based on competing objectives and end goals.
- Leading risk conversations with business stakeholders and providing pragmatic recommendations balancing security and business outcomes.
- Developing/documenting security standards and processes.
- Working independently and unsupervised while maintaining ownership of deliverables.
