Job description
The core functions of the Analysis and Strategy team are:
* Data analysis and reporting: Synthesising, analysing and reporting on data and information to inform and support the Commission's activities. The team's analysis underpins the Commission's advocacy, engagement, compliance and enforcement activities.
* Policy oversight and advocacy: As the Commission's central policy function, responsible staff scan, analyse and interpret legislation, policy, procedures through a child-focused, rights-based lens.
* Service delivery – oversight and monitoring: Responsible for strategic monitoring of out of home care and youth justice services, and the preventative detention of children
In this role you will:
* collect, analyse and report on data to support and inform the Commission's activities, in both the Oversight and Advocacy and the Regulation Divisions
* have a range of regular reporting responsibilities and be responsible for ad-hoc requests for analysis of data relating to services including youth justice, child protection and out-of-home care.
