Your new roleReporting to the Investment Data Product Manager within Technology Services (TS) - Investment Platforms department, the
Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for refining requirements to increase the quality and efficiency of the business outcome being delivered by the Data & Analytics team. This includes leading systems analysis, data analysis & modelling, process analysis, assessing non-functional requirements, and supporting user story development for technology delivery scope of requirements. The role will partner closely with Business Analysts from other Groups across the Fund to ensure alignment of technology solution to business requirements as well as work closely with Architects to ensure alignment to Technology Services design standards and patterns.The successful applicant will ideally have depth of experience in analyst type roles with a specialisation in either data, process, or systems analysis. Experience with cloud technology, cloud security, continuous integration, continuous delivery, is essential. More than a set of skills, we are looking for someone who is curious, collaborative, great at communicating, and is always willing to learn.Some key responsibilities but not limited to;
- Engage with Business Analyst, Architect, and Technology Project Manager to understand business requirements and define technical solution requirements to achieve the intended business value
- Partner with the project team to uncover dependencies and validate boundaries and sequencing of User Stories; translate business requirements into workable technology outcomes for the project team
- Assist with creation of detailed estimates as part of overall delivery planning
- Perform technical process analysis as required to help improve overall efficiency and effectiveness of the Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline and drive automation
- Assist projects with data and analytics associated scope, planning, resourcing, scheduling, and costing
- Assist in implementing a data quality framework; and maintain processes and tools utilised to perform data quality checks
- Represent the Investment Platforms Team in Fund wide data initiatives and the roll-out of Fund wide data capabilities such as data catalogue establishment
- Perform detailed data analysis and modelling to ensure integrity, reusability, scalability, and reliability, of the end to end solution
What you'll need- 5-7 years' experience in a combination of technology Analyst roles including business analysis, systems analysis, data analysis, and process analysis
- Regulated industry experience, ideally in financial services
- Proven experience in leading technical design for complex projects
- Experience in large scale application deployments across multiple disciplines, or similar environments that have complex interfacing requirements
- Demonstrated proficiency with DevOps concepts and technologies. Appreciation of software development lifecycle best practices
- Atlassian suite (Jira/Confluence) skills
- Critical thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills as well as technical writing skills
- An ability to architect and implement a business process in a complex and fast changing environment
- Ability to contribute to strategic initiatives and a curious mindset to identify opportunities to continuously improve
- A strategic thinker who has the ability to see how parts interact with the whole (i.e. big picture thinking, systems thinking skills)
