Ray White is a household name in Australia and New Zealand, a name synonymous with the property and real estate industry, home loans and mortgages and insurance. Established in 1902, Ray White has evolved into Australasia's most successful real estate business, now approaching 1,000 individual offices in Australia, New Zealand and South East Asia. Last year, Ray White sold over $53 billion worth of property. In addition its network manages 200,000 investment properties on behalf of its landlords. Ray White today is still a family owned and led business, now spanning residential, commercial and rural property as well as home loans, property management and property funds investment.
We have an opportunity for a Senior Analyst within the Ray White Economics team. Based in Sydney and reporting to the Chief Economist, the Senior Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering data from various sources and analysing and interpreting the information to provide meaningful insights to engage internal stakeholders, customers and media.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Analyse, evaluate and report on property market data
- Strong attention to detail
- Work closely with the Chief Economist and Head of Research to develop insights into up to date property market conditions
- Utilise both data collected internally within Ray White, as well as external data sources
- Work closely with the Ray White business to develop data sets of interest to customers and the media
- Manage the Data Service Centre, the central location for franchise data requests
- Present data in a clear, concise and easy to understand way with a strong focus on data visualisation
- Support the improvement of data and processes to greater automation and optimisation of insights
- Produce two reports a month and work to become a voice in property market trends
- Work closely with the wider Economics team, as well as the Media team
What we're looking for:
- Someone who is highly numerate, inquisitive and has a desire to understand the intricacies of property markets in Australia and New Zealand
- A relationship builder, someone who can work closely with key stakeholders
- Someone who has strong technical capability & knowledge in SQL- compatible databases and Excel
- Interest in developing expertise in data visualisation tools
- Strong attention to detail and ability to check data outputs carefully
- A good communicator that can make property data easy to understand, as well as interesting
- A passion for property
Qualifications
The role would suit someone with a degree in statistics, mathematics or economics, as well as experience in extracting and analysing large databases and presenting this in a clear and concise manner. An ability to write clearly is also required. Ideally with at least 2 years experience
