Our company is seeking a Senior Demand Planner who will be responsible for all demand planning duties, including estimating future product demand, analysing inventory flow, and developing forecasting models. This position will report directly to the Head of Supply Chain, based in our Maidstone, VIC Head Office.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop effective forecast models based on industry trends and demand patterns.
  • Support management with risk assessments and mitigation activities
  • Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecasting accuracy.
  • Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management effectively.
  • Maintain inventory levels based on future customer demands.
  • Identify opportunities to meet customer demands during constrained supply.
  • Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasting, budgets, and business strategies.
  • Maintain demand planning process and systems to improve forecasting accuracy.
  • Work with retailers, sales, and supply chain teams to manage and improve forecast accuracy.
  • Update retailers and sales teams about product availability
  • Conduct monthly forecast maintenance.
  • Address demand-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  • Work closely with retailer Demand Planners in a collaborative manner.

What are we looking for? 

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or other relevant fields.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Senior Demand planning/forecasting role within the wholesale/manufacturing consumer goods segment.
  • Solid understanding of inventory management practices and procedures.
  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Exposure to different ERP forecasting modules.
  • The ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Suite skills such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Very good administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexible working hours due to the global nature of the business
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Ability to contribute to a positive culture and have mutual respect within a dynamic team.
