Security Technician

Avantgarde Technologies is an Information Technologies and Electronic Security company dealing with a large variety of customers in the government, non for profit and private sector.  Established in 2012, we design, implement and support an array of mission-critical business systems for our clients.

The Role

Avantgarde Technologies is seeking an experienced Security Technician to assist with project implementation and support for our customers.  The successful candidate will have at least 3 years industry experience, strong time management and problem-solving skills and the ability to work autonomously.

Candidates must possess a strong passion for technology and the ability to adaptively self-learn new technologies in response to the constant innovation in the technology sector. 

The role will be customer facing and as such, the successful candidate will maintain a high level of professionalism at all times, portray confidence and possess strong presentation skills. 

Skillsets Required

Successful candidates will be skilled in the following areas:

• Installation of commercial CCTV
• Installation of commercial access control and alarms
• Programming and commissioning of Access control
• Comprehensive practical knowledge of Electronic Security and best practices
• Ability to work in remote locations (70 percent of time on 2 and 1 roster)
• Thorough understanding and acceptance of health and safety policies and procedures

Qualifications

The following qualifications and industry endorsements are highly regarded:

• Security Consultant / Security Installer license issued by the WA Police
• Construction Induction Card
• High-Risk Work License – WP
• Working at Heights
• Open Cabling Endorsements; Structured, Coaxial
• Manual Drivers licence
• Integrity/ Inception Access control experience
• Milestone/ Genetec Experience
