The Company
This client is a global company and is the leader in the niche market in which they operate. Due to strong growth, they are looking for a Demand Planner to join their enthusiastic and collaborative team. This company truly is an employer of choice and embraces this with work practices and policies.
The Role
Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Demand Planner is responsible for driving demand and inventory levels to maximise cash flows, sales, service levels and minimise risk. Doing both supply and demand planning, you will be working with fast moving customers and need to have their needs front of mind.
Responsibilities include;
• Developing effective forecasts through demand patterns and interactions with sales, marketing, and finance.
• Supporting management with supply risk assessments and mitigation activities.
• Propose and implement solutions to improve demand forecast accuracy.
• Communicate forecast and inventory estimations to management.
• Monitor and report on important changes in sales forecasts, budgets, and business strategies.
• Prepare and conduct monthly S&OP cycle in conjunction with the demand planning team.
• Maintain multi-warehouse strategy to ensure inventory is correctly balanced between 3PL warehouses.
• Deliver improved supply chain and logistics business performance as measured by agreed KPI’s.
Key Requirements
• Prior experience working in a similar role.
• Experience with demand planning software (SAP APO highly desirable)
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills with the ability to analyse data.
