We are seeking an enthusiastic and passionate Dental Assistant to provide coordination and support of our small Dental team for their required clinical and administrative duties. The Senior Dental Assistant will assist Oral Health staff in the delivery of high quality service provision within the Community Health Centre and through outreach programs.

East Grampians Health Service aims to meet the needs of the community by offering a vast array of services based at the community health centre in Ararat. We also offer outreach services to Willaura, Lake Bolac and Elmhurst. Our services include dental, physiotherapy, exercise physiology, occupational therapy, podiatry, speech pathology, dietetics, diabetes education and social work. These services support other clinical areas including our acute and residential aged care patients. Our Community Health Centre also hosts speciality clinics such as consulting suites for our visiting surgeons and maternal child and health.
What we OfferAbout the Role
Our program provides a Senior Dental Assistant an opportunity to work in a variety of settings including community outpatients, schools, early childhood learning centres and residential aged care as part of dynamic team of health professionals. You will be supported to undergo additional training opportunities which will be tailored to your needs and preferences.
These training opportunities will include Dental Assistant specific skills, multidisciplinary training with other professional and attendance at professional conferences. Access to quality improvement and research opportunities are also provided.
About You- Hold Certificate III (or above) in Dental Assisting
- Well Developed Communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Demonstrate supervisory/leadership skills
