About the Role
The Strategy, Planning and Resources team within the Faculty of Business and Economics provides expertise and leadership to ensure that the Faculty and its Departments achieve their strategic and operational goals and objectives.
The Senior Department Liaison Officer is a critical role in the team in supporting achievement of these objectives within the Faculty’s Department of Finance and is actively involved in the redesign of work processes and coordinating tasks with other professional staff in and across departments to ensure optimum utilisation of services.
Your responsibilities will include:
Acting as the program lead on the Assessment and Exam activities for the Department; reviewing and improving the current Departmental processes for examinations.
Playing an integral part in the review of related processes to create end to end business process synergies and improvements
Supporting on key programs to deliver high-quality teaching and learning throughout the Department, innovating and continuously improving teaching, learning and research quality.
Who We Are Looking For
You will take a leading role in managing change in a complex environment to achieve the goals of the wider organisation. You will bring highly developed communication and interpersonal skills and ability to present complex information clearly in writing and in person. You will also be able to persuade and negotiate, and interact effectively with staff at all levels, working independently and effectively to contribute positively as a team member.
You will also have:
A degree in a relevant discipline with substantial relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Highly developed organisational skills with demonstrated ability to plan, meet deadlines, prioritise workloads, monitor and evaluate to ensure the timely delivery of services.
A high level of initiative and grit with a demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement solutions to complex problems or new opportunities for improvement where appropriate.
Demonstrated ability to initiate, develop and implement effective workplace practices and processes and convey complex information to colleagues.
