About the Company

Our client is a council located in the northwest of Victoria, and on the south bank of the Murray River. This council provides an array of services and facilities to the community making it a progressive council that is committed to economic and community development.
About the Role
This role is reports to the Manager - Engineering and Strategic Projects for the provision of effective engineering investigation and design of civil infrastructures.
Duties

• Develop concepts and prepare or supervise the development of detailed design drawings.
• Prepare cost estimates and complete tender specifications for engineering works.
• Ensure works meet the specifications and standards required
• Inspection and approval of development works
• Liaise with other Council departments and Service Authorities

Essential Requirements

• Tertiary degree in Civil Engineering with more than five years of experience
• Extensive experience in the surveying, designing, cost estimates, and material procurement.
• Understanding of budgetary and financial management requirements of Local Government.
• In depth understanding of implementation of design and construction principles
• VIC License
