About the job

This full time role is based in a stylish studio in Sydney, working on site 3 days a week and 2 from home. There are two skillsets the client is seeking for their next Senior Designer: Ideation and Craft. This is an important hire for the team and your day to day will involve coming up with ideas, translating brand values into meaningful work and also being able to work on brand campaigns and crafting print, layout and digital design. This studio has an impressive (and exciting) client list who would be considered premium and top tier.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Own your projects from start to finish, including strategy, presenting and ideation through to finished art.
• Work independently and as part of a team, collaborating on ideas for visual identities and brand campaigns as well as supporting your team during busy periods.
• Crafting design for brochures, books, websites, OOH advertising and more.
• Selling your concepts internally, commercial and to clients

Requirements

To be considered for this role you will need to possess the following:

• Previous experience working in a branding agency, or in a design/advertising agency working on branding projects.
• The ability to conceptualise and ideate but also the skill to craft your designs and translate strategy into meaningful work.
• Strong typography skills and understanding of type hierarchy.
• 5+ years experience as a Graphic Designer and a folio of relevant branding projects (preferably with examples of work done for premium/luxury clients or brands).
• Available to work on-site in Sydney minimum 3 days per week.

Nice to have

• Whilst not mandatory additional skills in copywriting will be looked upon favourably.
