CAMILLA is continuing to colour the world and as we embark on our global expansion, we are currently seeking a talented Senior Designer to join our vibrant Mainline team in Sydney to bring their unique aesthetic and creative flair to the table.
We are looking for a Senior Designer who will collaborate closely with the Design team to design and create luxury clothing collections that embody the brands vision and resonate with our discerning clientele.
Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:
- Generate original design concepts considering seasonal creative brief, market trends, target audience and brand identity.
- Conduct thorough research on emerging fashion trends, fabrics, and embellishments to inspire designs.
- Collaborate with the design team to brainstorm and develop cohesive collections that align with seasonal themes and brand objectives.
- Oversee the design process and ensure the successful execution of our collections.
- Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturers, and other stakeholders to ensure the availability and suitability of materials for production.
- Achieve successful review of proto collections from senior management including CAMILLA Design and Buying teams
- Prepare and handover style details for tech packs, thoroughly oversee and manage tech pack process and timeline.
- Responsible for margin and retail prices of all new styles in conjunction with Buying Manager.
- Lead and manage a team of designers, providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to foster their growth and development.
What we are looking for in our Senior Designer:
- A fashion design degree from an Australian or International institution
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in luxury fashion design, preferably with a focus on women's clothing.
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of creative and innovative designs.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite, CAD, and 3D rendering tools.
- Experience in Cut & Sew
- In-depth knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and draping techniques.
- Excellent understanding of fabrics, textiles, and material sourcing.
- Strong communication, leadership, and team management skills.
