As Senior Developer you will be responsible for the implementation of technical initiatives and to contribute in both an analytical, co-ordination and engineering capacity. This role will advocate for the customer when considering and applying technical changes within the Sports Domain.
To be successful in this role you will be able to transition between analysis and development skills as required, supporting the team where it is most valuable. You will strive to design efficient, scalable, and robust solutions to fulfil requirements and guide your team to delivering high-quality results. As a Senior Developer, you will exhibit pride and ownership over your work and encourage the same in your team members.

Your day-to-day...
- Define project requirements and maintain a healthy backlog of technical tasks, defined in detail as required by your team.
- Contribute to the design and implementation of efficient, scalable and robust solutions to project requirements.
- Diagnose and triage errors using logging and metric tools – AWS Cloudwatch, Grafana etc.
- Define current and future operational scenarios (processes, plans and solutions).
- Collaborate with stakeholders, technical leadership, team members and/or research to understand requirements, and identify risks and opportunities within project scope.
- Backend engineering to implement complex tasks using mainly GoLang.
- Frontend engineering to complete smaller tasks using JavaScript and associated libraries (React).
What you’ll bring...
- High-level development skills in Golang or similarly compiled server-oriented languages.
- Basic understanding or experience with one or more NoSQL data solutions (MongoDB, DynamoDB, ElasticSearch).
- Experience managing small teams delivering projects from inception to release.
- The ability to action and transition between management-related tasks to engineering/development tasks efficiently.
- Working knowledge of Kafka.
- Experience with containerised applications: Kubernetes, Docker.
- Experience engaging with staff across different teams to facilitate outcomes.
