About the Portfolio
The Operations Portfolio enables an integrated, enterprise-wide delivery for best practice student and staff experiences.
The Portfolio incorporates the following business units: Enterprise Projects and Business Performance (EPBP), Communications, People, Information and Technology Services (ITS), Office of the Chief Operating Officer, Procurement and Vietnam Operations.
The Portfolio houses significant drivers and delivery components across the staff and student journeys and enables the overall experience for both groups. The Portfolio is integral in bringing the RMIT strategy to life, across the globe. Each of these functions supports the global operations of the University both directly as well as through its controlled entities.
The Information Technology Services (ITS) function, provides RMIT University with current and emerging Technology systems and services. The Role
The Senior Developer - Digital solutions is responsible for end-to-end analysis, design, development, implementation, and support of Digital Solutions, focusing on improving business processes through the use of established platforms such as Microsoft Azure, the Power Platform, RPA (Automation Anywhere), and ServiceNow.
The position provides recommendations on solution design based on discovery with stakeholders, high-quality development, and showcases to stakeholders. The position also provides support and coaching of other developers.

Skills & Experience
Extensive experience in enterprise application software development, including analysis, design, development, testing and quality assurance, implementation, documentation, and support - a thorough understanding of the SDLC.
Substantial experience in debugging or troubleshooting complex problems while providing effective progress communications and fault escalation procedures.
Demonstrated experience in discovering, analysing, and mapping business processes to solution design stage, or mapping to automated processes.
Well-developed problem-solving, analytical, and strategic thinking skills and demonstrated ability to apply policies, procedures, and systems as per requirements.
Advanced communication skills and the ability to build and maintain effective and productive relationships, internally and externally, and to facilitate the integration of a range of internal and external procedures and requirements.
Experience with development on some or all of the following platforms: Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, RPA), Azure (Logic Apps), RPA (Automation Anywhere), ServiceNow, Salesforce, as well as experience working with REST APIs.
Demonstrated ability to provide guidance and advice, work independently as well as a productive team member, project leader or mentor, to achieve objectives operating within complex organisational structures.
Ability to provide after-hours support as required.
Demonstrated understanding of ITIL Foundations, principles, and its application.
