Position Overview:The Management Accountant role will have a strong focus on providing financial analysis to identify trends and insights to support business decision making. In addition, the role will provide support to the Finance Operations Manager and the wider finance team that will include helping to prepare financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cashflow, preparation of BAS, GL reconciliations, Fixed Asset Register maintenance, inventory management and treasury requirements.
Key Responsibilities Include:- Analyse financial data and trends to provide insights to the business to help with decision making
- Collaborate with the business departments to understand their financial drivers in order to provide relevant and meaningful insights
- Review data, drivers and identify trends in the business
- Financial forecasting, budgeting, planning and variance analysis
- Monitor cashflow and produce monthly cashflow reports and analysis
- Review and reconcile monthly reports from investment advisers
- Fixed asset register maintenance
- Preparation of statutory lodgments – BAS, FBT
- Inventory control and management
- Assist with audit preparation
To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate:
Essential- Minimum 3 years experience working in a finance team
- Demonstrated experience in providing financial analysis and insights to support decision making.
- High level of computer literacy with intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
- Exceptional attention to detail for quality and accuracy
- Proven strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise own workload and manage multiple tasks.
- Good analytical skills and acumen
- Self-starter with excellent written and verbal communication skills and an ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the business
Desirable- Strong knowledge of and experience with reporting packages and databases – Microsoft Dynamics GP.
