Your new role:
As a dedicated member of the Community Team, your responsibilities will encompass crisis responses, targeted interventions (both brief and longer term), and consultative interactions with primary healthcare providers. Working closely with consumers, carers, CMHSS, and other services, you'll contribute to best practices for recovery using evidence-based approaches. This dynamic role offers opportunities for personal and professional development, encouraging proactive problem-solving and a commitment to our values.
About you:
We are seeking a highly experienced dietitian with a minimum of 7 years in providing dietetic and multi-disciplinary treatment for adult consumers with complex Mental Health-related needs and their families/carers. Prior experience in a Community Mental Health team is advantageous.
Ideally, you will have:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- The ability to be adaptable, knowing when to change priorities to meet the needs of consumers or the team, and thriving in a flexible and positive environment.
- Initiative. We value proactive individuals who actively seek opportunities for self-development and improved service delivery without waiting to be prompted.
- Strong organisational and time management skills. Your integrity will be reflected in behaviours aligned with Melbourne Health's values.
- A degree in Nutrition and Dietetics accredited for eligibility for full membership of the Dietitians Australia.
- Accredited Practising Dietitian (APD) status.
