The Senior Digital DeliveryLead is responsible for leading and overseeing the delivery of high-quality digital solutions that meet our needs and align with our vision, strategy and values. You will also mentor and coach other Delivery Leads, foster a culture of collaboration and innovation, and champion best practices in agile software development.
The core responsibility as a Senior Digital Delivery Lead is to ensure that we deliver exceptional digital products and services from ideation to implementation that delight our members and staff and advance our mission.
You will do this by managing and guiding the delivery team, setting clear expectations and goals, resolving issues and risks, and facilitating continuous improvement, monitor and report on progress and quality, and ensure alignment with our business objectives and member expectations. You will also support and develop other Delivery Leads, promote a positive and agile work environment, cultivate a culture of learning and excellence, and contribute to our digital strategy and roadmap.
Responsibilities:
Delivery Flow:
- Maintain a constant focussed energy on supporting and improving good delivery flow. Delivery speed without compromising on quality. Measure what matters and help influence positive change both inside and outside the squad(s).
- As a Senior member of the group you are expected to create/maintain standards and define what good delivery means for our organisation.
- Identify and help to remove dependencies and handoffs amongst delivery squads. Help us drive toward cross functional teams that can independently create value.
- Be a Systems Thinker that appreciates the bigger picture and take a Lean approach to getting things done.
- Lead and manage the assigned delivery squad(s). This involves both people leadership and Delivery Leadership to build and maintain a high-performing team, ensuring they are motivated, collaborating and working well.
- Promote trust and collaboration amongst cross-functional team members, including designers, developers, quality assurance and various other Subject Matter Experts to drive successful outcomes.
- Be hungry for team success and nurture a low-ego environment.
- Coach and mentor other Delivery Leads. Help us to create a small delivery chapter that can scale if the organisation grows.
- Be able to communicate effectively with a technical delivery team.
- The ability to provide coverage for one or more capabilities of the squad will be a big bonus (i.e. be ‘T’ shaped so that you can fill in for a UI designer or developer etc)
- Identifying obstacles and helping the team to overcome them.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the development team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and good development discipline.
- Work closely with members of the product team so that all members are clear on their objectives and collectively manage any impediments to success.
- Be a collaborative, active and positive member of the Digital Product Delivery team who operates in alignment with the LeavePlus Values (Here for Members, Empower our People, Thrive together, Anticipate and create).
- Lead in line with LeavePlus leadership expectations and role model LeavePlus Values.
- Operates under the broad direction of the Digital Delivery Manager and supervise other staff and/or external resources.
- Perform a range of day-to-day administrative duties and assist with other duties as required.

Skills required:
- Expertise in software delivery practices, Lean, and Agile methodologies.
- Broad experience in leading software delivery teams and creating meaningful products.
- Adaptability and capable change management skills must be able to help the team navigate toward a new modern tech stack and (in some cases) re-educate themselves.
- Well-developed verbal, listening, comprehension and written communication skills.
- People leadership (line management) skills.
Not required but beneficial will be secondary skills in software delivery such as any one or more of the following:
- Hands-on experience with front end delivery including React, Angular, Java, HTML, CSS.
- Capable of supporting UX research and UI design.
- Back-end platform experience with a modern CRM, User Journey/Engagement, business logic and/or decision management platform integrated.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant IT, Digital, Engineering, or a related study, or equivalent industry experience.
- In-depth understanding of software development methodologies and best practices.
- Experience in leading delivery teams supported by strong references.
