As part of the Learning, Teaching and Curriculum team, you will work collaboratively to plan and provide professional advice, learning and resources to support BCE schools, leaders and teachers in the implementation of NAPLAN, the development of digital literacy/capabilities and engagement in learning technologies.
You will provide specialised advice and support to schools on the implementation, analysis and evaluation of effective and expected practices in learning technologies and related pedagogical principles
Your Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic advice and lead projects to develop policy, organisational practices and procedures and operational outcomes
- Analyse data to positively challenge perspectives on strategic issues to deliver outcome and make recommendation.
- Supervise a team of professional subject matter experts undertaking detailed analysis on alternative courses of action
- Develop strategies to provide sound advice to improve organisational performance by undertaking high level reviews
- Prepare specialised and technical reports and committee papers on significant projects, research or policy development.
- Establish, build and maintain internal and external relationships to share professional knowledge and expertise to deliver on business outcomes
About you: To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
- Relevant experience in a similar role, or a role requiring a similar skill set
- Demonstrated expertise in use of technology for excellence and equity in teaching
- Learning and assessment capabilities experience in using technology to develop engaging, contemporary and fit-for-purpose resources
- Initiatives leader who can think critically and creatively, act strategically, lead with innovation in complex environments, and engage stakeholders for collaboration and impact
- Experience supporting schools with implementation of the Australian Curriculum and NAPLAN with resources, professional development and support.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Education or a related field and/or previous experience in a similar position would be highly regarded but not essential
- Additional Post Graduate level qualifications in a specialist area desirable.
- Full registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT)
