Senior Engineer

As a hands-on Senior Engineer, you’ll use your skills in building, designing, maintaining, and testing, for the development of our technology used by the Consumer Finance technology team. You will also engage with various stakeholders and become an expert in your domain whilst supporting the broader engineering community.This role sits within the Consumer Finance technology team with the business team in transforming the business vision into reality by planning and delivering the projects along with our strategic partners.If you want to work in a fast-paced and agile environment, contributing to major transformation programs and supporting the Consumer Finance technology core systems, this is the role for you!This role is based in Gold Coast, office is located in Surfers Paradise.Within this role you will:

• Design, Implement, and maintain micro services using Spring-Boot.
• Write clean, modular, maintainable code using modern JavaScript frameworks and libraries.
• Have an understanding of end-to-end application performance and optimisation techniques and tools.
• Implement responsive designs with reusable and scalable UI components.
• Design and develop user interfaces for customer-facing applications using React JS
• Problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and best practices of UI development
• Collaborate with service owners to understand the requirements and translate them into technical user stories.

• Excellent analysis and design skills with technical problem-solving
• Good in node.js and React
• Experience with CI/CD tools ie Bit, bitbucket, Jenkins or bamboo.
• Accessibility standards and best practices of UI development.
• Experience in React JS, Redux and Node JS.
• Restful API design principles and standards
• API security and authentication mechanisms (OAuth, JWT)
• Spring Boot experience
• Open minded to industry backgrounds as long as you have the above technical skills at a senior level (financial services is preferred).
