Breight Group are currently searching for a Lead SMP Engineer to join our project delivery team in our office working Monday - Friday. This is a permanent position to work across multiple projects / tenders.
About the role:
- Preparation of tender, budgets and completion of associated tender documentation.
- Conduct detailed quantity take-offs, identify plant and labour requirements, preliminary costs and be able to compile a “complete” tender price to complete the works at agreed profit.
- Coordinate and administer engineering activities, ensuring compliance with all project requirements.
- Interpret designs and specifications with attention to detail.
- Contribute to the improvement of work execution processes.
- Assist in the preparation of site budgets and reports.
- Monitor project progress, ensuring adherence to the program, and providing regular reports to the Team Leader.
- Assign work, conduct reviews and adherence to standards.
- Act as a trouble-shooter, promptly alerting the appropriate team members of potential problems.
- Essential qualifications: Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent, Project Management Professional certification.
- Experience in the resource industry.
- Considerable “hands on” working on remote construction sites throughout the Northwest of WA
- Proven ability and demonstrated experience in project planning, contract and vendor management, estimating, and delivery.
