We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Engineer to join our Strategic Asset Management & Planning team. As the Senior Engineer Dams, you will play a critical role in leading Council’s commitment to dam safety through effectively delivering the engineering services defined by Council’s dam safety management program.
The ideal candidate has:
- Bachelor of Engineering or other relevant tertiary qualification.
- Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ) under the Professional Engineers Act 2002 to undertake or directly supervise an engineering service with competency in areas of engineering relevant to dam safety.
- Demonstrated knowledge and skills in dam safety engineering in Australia, including with dam safety management programs.
- Sound knowledge of relevant Queensland legislation, policies and industry guidelines, including ANCOLD.
- Demonstrated ability to prepare written documents in a concise and succinct manner, appropriate to the intended audience, so that technical issues are effectively communicated.
