We are seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Geologist to grow our Tunnels and Ground Engineering team in Brisbane. Reporting to the Ground Engineering Section Lead, our local expertise covers a diverse range of engineering geological and geotechnical areas. These include ground investigations, construction materials and natural terrain hazard assessments, earthworks and foundation design, rockmass assessments and tunnelling, dam engineering, ground improvement, and maritime geotechnics.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide technical experience involving design, geotechnical investigation and interpretation, on multidisciplinary projects across Jacobs’s infrastructure, water, mining, gas, and power sectors;
• Input into proposals and technical reports to assist the team to develop opportunities to win work;
• Support the growth within the ground engineering business through team collaboration and mentoring.

• Experience in a similar role with significant experience working in a consultancy environment with a depth of experience in site investigations, remote sensing mapping and ground model definition will be highly regarded
• Relevant qualification in Geology / Engineering Geology
• Familiarity with geotechnical standards and relevant modelling and design software
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Thorough understanding and application of HSEC requirements and industry approaches
