A position is open for either a permanent role (residential) or a 6-month contract (FIFO) with our coal mining client.About the role
As the Senior Environment and Community Advisor, you will report to the Environment & Community Superintendent. This position involves offering professional and technical assistance for the efficient handling of environmental responsibilities and fostering positive community relations.
- Assisting the Environment and Community Superintendent in crafting and accomplishing Environment and Community goals, initiatives, and commitments.
- Oversee, report on, and enhance environmental and sustainability performance, and compliance, and rectify issues via monitoring, inspections, and investigations.
- Assisting in refining and enhancing the Environmental Management System along with related documentation and records for ongoing improvement.
- QLD Coal Board Medical desirable
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Environmental Science, Management, or Engineering.
- 3-5 years of professional experience in an environmental role (preferably in coal mining or heavy industry).
- Good understanding of Queensland's environmental and sustainability laws, standards, and management systems.
- Sharp analytical skills to effectively tackle environmental and sustainability challenges.
- Attractive annual salary or contract rate
- Permanent 8/6 Roster (residential) or
- 6-month contract available with (FIFO)
