About the role
Our Environment team are looking for a Senior Environmental Adviser, with particular skills in auditing, report writing and engaging with project stakeholders, to join their inclusive and supportive team. This opportunity has become available following the promotion of the previous incumbent.
As the Senior Environmental Adviser, you will be responsible for undertaking environmental quality assurance checks and review of completion and handover documentation, with an eye on all environmental, contractual and stakeholder requirements.
On a day-to-day basis, you will find yourself:
- Liaising and formally meeting with site based environmental teams
- Reviewing environmental documentation including contractor management plans
- Performing quality assurance checks, including reporting and tracking the closure of outstanding actions raised
- Reviewing close out documents as part of the completions and handover requirements
This is a three (3) year fixed term position, paying a salary between $106,534 and $128,897 plus superannuation with hybrid working arrangement (a mix of office and home/remote based working). The office you will be working from is in the Melbourne CBD, however you will be visiting the alliance or site offices as part of your role. You will also have the option to access flexible working arrangements if you need them - many LXRP employees work flexibly.
About you
You are someone that is organised and has excellent attention to detail. Ideally you enjoy working in an open and collaborative team environment. You might be working as an Environmental Adviser now and seeking a step up, or you may have transferrable skills that you think we should know about.
Let's get technical - what are the must haves?
- Demonstrated experience working in a construction / engineering environment
- Experience in compliance and auditing
- Understanding of environmental regulatory and legislative standards
- Familiarity with ISO/AS 14001 Environmental Management Systems
