About the role:
Plan, implement, and manage solutions to benefit the environment, client and SWC
Ensure communication and compliance with all Project Environmental Legal and Other Obligations
Undertake audits of the CEMP, Sub-plans, EOPs, SWMS and other environmental documentation during the construction phase
Develop and implement environmental training programs, tool box talks and induction.
Coordinate with the project team in collecting, verifying, and reporting sustainability data including National Greenhouse and Emissions Reporting
Assist National Environment and Sustainability Manager with development and implementation corporate procedures, standards, and specifications
Manage environmental management controls and costs to budget and project needs
Provide technical, environmental/sustainability advice to the bid team
Prepare environmental and sustainability plans and documents for tender deliverables
The successful applicant will have the following skills and experience:
Tertiary qualification – Environmental Engineer/Science.
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in the construction industry.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance, Company Quality Plan and legal and moral duty of care.
Working knowledge of safety and environmental legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes.
Understanding the specific project scope of works and contractual procedures for managing change.
Must completed a training course in Blue Books 1 & 2D and Erosion and Sedimentation Control.
