Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Environmental Consultant to join our engineering firm in Alexandria, NSW. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering technical assessments for air quality, noise and vibration, providing guidance to junior personnel, preparing fee proposals and technical reports, project management and maintaining strong client relationships.
About the role
We are seeking a suitable candidate to fill a Senior Monitoring Consultant role in our company. The key elements of the role include:
- Perform routine and troubleshooting calibration and maintenance on instrumentation
- Working to strict schedules while maintaining product quality
- Writing of technical reports
- Writing of technical quotes
- Seek out and attend relevant training courses
- Laboratory analysis in accordance with Company procedures
- Effective project management to ensure efficient task performance and timely delivery of work products
- Providing timely, exceptional project deliverables (focussed on stack testing at industrial facilities, however, extends into ambient, odour and OH&S monitoring).
- Effective project management to ensure efficient task performance and timely delivery of work products
- Proficiently undertake air quality and other environmental monitoring projects.
- Identifying, pursuing, and securing sales opportunities for all AE services
- Leveraging and developing relationships to build long-term business partnerships
- Maintaining effective relationships with regulatory personnel
- Preparing fee proposals in a timely manner in accordance with client expectations
- Ensuring all work products meet AE quality standards
- Collaborating with team leaders and management to effectively serve AE’s clients
- Developing junior staff regarding analytical techniques, and project delivery
- Participate in implementation of corporate strategy
- Implementing policies and procedures regarding quality, workplace health and safety and any other related matter adopted by AE in the team’s operations
- Ensuring harmonious environment for working team and entire business
Skills and experience
This role is an experienced position ideally suited to someone with more than five years experience with the following skills:
· QSTI or MCERT accreditation/certification
· Post-secondary education in environmental science or environmental management with experience in air monitoring
· Motivated and able to work independently
· Good analytical and technical "hands-on" skills
· Aptitude for practical problem solving
· Willingness and flexibility to travel and to work long hours, evenings, weekends at times.
· Ability to perform manual tasks, and physically fit with the ability to perform heavy lifting.
· Aptitude for attention to detail to ensure a high degree of QA/QC
· A valid driver's licence
Salary range of $75,000 to $85,000 commensurate with experience & education.
