Senior Environmental Officer Apply now Job no: 505476 Work type: Ongoing full-time Location: Grafton, Tamworth, Singleton Categories: Construction and Architecture, Projects Current opportunities in the Hunter (Singleton Office) and Northern NSW (Quirindi, Gunnedah, Tamworth and Grafton office). Hunter position is an ongoing fulltime role. Northern NSW positions are a temporary full-time role on 3-year contract term, with the option of transferring to ongoing full-time roles. Develop & oversee the delivery of environmental rehabilitation projects, maintenance programs & consultancy work. Projects include but not limited to river restoration, conservation earthworks, recreational trail maintenance/construction, access trail maintenance, coastal erosion management, fire trail upgrades and flood mitigation works. About you You are a seasoned environmental professional with experience in providing specialist consultancy services within a commercial business. Your experience in the provision of advice ranges from planning and design through to implementation and management of projects to stakeholders and clients. You have a keen awareness of client and stakeholder needs and understand the importance of delivering projects on time and to agreed budgets. You are a hands-on leader with experience in steering small teams to successful outcomes. To be successful in this role you will have: Knowledge of project management methodology and/or an understanding of environmental principles, erosion and sediment control, and legislation Practical experience in environmental or construction project and site management with experience in the design and implementation of soil and water conservation projects with a focus on one or more of the following: Design, planning and construction management of unsealed roads and trails Application of fluvial geomorphic principles and the implementation of riparian natural resource projects Assessment and implementation of soil and landscape rehabilitation projects Why are these the jobs for you?
