AddressBCT Group was established in 2012, we specialise in home renovations, extensions and bespoke knock down rebuild projects in Melbourne’s Western Suburbs and the Geelong region. We are currently on the lookout for an experienced estimator to join and lead our team of two estimators.
Technical construction knowledge within the residential construction industry is essential. An expert understanding of estimating and tender processes as well as strong written and verbal communication skills will see you be successful in this role.
BCT Group build a high volume of both internally designed and externally designed bespoke projects which requires very high attention to detail, strong time management skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at once.
Based in our head office located in Kingsville within the inner western suburbs of Melbourne, this role will see you engaging with multiple stakeholders across our supplier network, our current clients, your estimating team and the wider BCT Group business across both design and construction.
As you will be meeting with clients and suppliers it is a must that you are well presented. An ability to navigate multiple software programs including microsoft excel & powerpoint is essential for your face to face budget presentations and meetings.
As our Senior Estimator, you will play a pivotal role through our design process including the allocation of clients budgets to various aspects of design to ensure we can meet their design brief and project requirements.
Reviewing our inhouse designers concepts and that they will meet budget expectations, creating scope of works documents and managing the tender process and final construction contract pricing is a big part of your role.
As the leader of our estimating team you will help manage the workloads of our estimators, review their work periodically, provide guidance and knowledge to assist complete the tender process successfully and help train and guide them to improve on their current skillset and capabilities.
This role will report directly to the General manager and will have a day to day relationship with our Construction manager and wider BCT Group team members.
Critically, you must be able to understand working drawings and utilise your strong technical knowledge of the residential construction process to identify the pricing requirements of each project including materials, labour, equipment and timeframes. You will then initiative a timely tender process through our preferred supplier network before collating the pricing for presentation to our clients.
