  • Are you ready to take the lead in curating exceptional events that showcase cultural richness and promote Aboriginal Language Trust initiatives?
  • We're seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Event Officer to join our team at the forefront of event management.
  • This is an ongoing Clerk Grade 9/10 role, based in Mascot with the flexibility to work from anywhere within NSW.
About the role.

As the Senior Event Officer, you will play a pivotal role in project management and specialist advice to develop and support the delivery of professional, safe, and high-quality events. Your efforts will directly contribute to the success of the Aboriginal Language Trust's strategic initiatives and objectives while showcasing the reclamation, revitalisation, reawakening and growth of Aboriginal Languages throughout NSW.

You will lead the coordination of creative direction, production, operations, and logistics for the Trust’s special events. This includes managing programming (e.g., artists, performances, run orders), infrastructure and technical requirements, contracts, and permits. Ensuring the delivery of professional, cost-efficient, safe, and high-quality services that comply with government procedures, legislative requirements, and standards is at the heart of your responsibilities.

Additionally, you will provide high-quality and timely advice to the Manager and Executive Director on events and programs, strategies, risks, and issues. Your role involves developing and negotiating solutions to event-related issues, managing risks to the government, and liaising with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure an approved, coordinated approach. Managing complex event and project budgets to ensure financial parameters are met will be crucial to your success.

To learn more about the role please review the Role Description.
