About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organised individual to join our team as a Senior Events Officer. This role will play a crucial part in the coordination and execution of allocated major events which form part of our calendar of large and diverse community events.
In this role, you will undertake duties such as:
- Coordinate all aspects of the event logistics, ensuring seamless execution from planning to post-event activities.
- Support the management of project meetings, setting of agendas, reporting of budget and delegating tasks effectively.
- Work collaboratively to ensure the delivery of a high-quality events within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Oversee event staff, volunteers, contractors and suppliers, providing clear direction and support throughout the planning and execution phases.
- Fostering strong relationships and ensuring needs are met.
- Coordinate and negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships.
Skills & Experience
- Experience in event management and delivery
- History of delivering large-scale events on time and within budget
- Excellent project management and people management skills
- Highly developed stakeholder management capability
- Ability to deliver marketing content in written and visual formats

- 6-month contract from mid July 2024 – mid January 2025

- $90,264.87 - $96,065.01 per annum pro rata + super
