In return you will be a valued team member, be offered flexibility and experience a meaningful career in an exciting, ever-evolving aviation industry.The Role & The TeamAs the Senior Facilities Manager, you will require a strong service delivery ethic together with a focus on systematic continuous improvement in the provision of facilities management services in the designated region, managing the built environment to support the delivery of operational services aligned to the overall operational and organisational strategies. These services are to be delivered in accordance with the business units organisational and statutory requirements to provide fit for purpose and secure facilities to enable Airservices to meet its operational capability.
In this role you will:- Provide customers with facilities management solutions within the designated region, collaborate with peers and contribute actively and positively in the work of the Facilities and Property branch.
- Ensure all Airservices facilities within the designated region comply with statutory and regulatory requirements (Building Codes, Environment, WHS, Security etc.) and manage preparation of incident and security reports as necessary.
- Manage the activities and performance of the Facilities programs against the designated region's annual operating budget, including timely and accurate monitoring and reporting of budget position as well as forecasts of expenditure trends.
- Contribute to and support the Facilities Contract Manager with the ongoing management of services contracts relating to the efficient delivery of Facilities Maintenance services within the designated regions.
- Contribute to and support the Regional Lead Facilities Manager and the National Facilities Manager with the ongoing change programs and associated minor project works to ensure upgrade and sustainment works are delivered in line with program deadlines.
- Provide support to the Facilities Strategy Manager, Regional Lead Facilities Manager & National Facilities Manager to align Facility management operations to business goals.

The PersonThe Senior Facilities Manager requires strong interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with a wide range of management, senior staff and staff across the designated region.
The successful applicant will have:- Demonstrated experience in managing continuous improvement within the built environment, construction management and/or project management across a complex multi-site region with a range of diverse facilities.
- Demonstrated experience in overseeing staff and contractors in remote locations and an ability to motivate and mentor team members to achieve positive results.
- Demonstrated experience in procurement activities, program and contract management with regards to Facilities Management.
- Strong contractor relationship development and experience in managing key suppliers and contractors for the provision of Facilities Management services.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to plan and clearly communicate current and future facilities management activities and respond rapidly and innovatively to events or circumstances.
