ABOUT YOU

Due to a senior member of our family law team transitioning to a part time role with reduced hours an opportunity has arisen for a Senior Family Lawyer to join our dedicated and reputable Family Law team.

This position would ideally suit a career focused Family Lawyer with 5+ years PAE looking to maintain and build our client base and family law practice.

Full time preferred, flexible / semi hybrid work arrangements strongly considered for the right candidate.

This position is based within our Geelong office with regular visits to satellite offices to attend client appointments.  The emphasis will be on all aspects of family law.  You would be required to undertake court appearances and be willing to appear as advocate in the Magistrates' Court and the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia when appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research, draft legal documents and provide advice to clients
• Collaborate with a team of experienced Lawyers to develop and execute effective legal strategies
• Represent clients in negotiations, mediations and court proceedings
• Provide guidance to clients, ensuring their interests are protected and legal risks are minimised
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering exceptional service and exceeding expectations

Competitive Salary

The salary for this position will be commensurate with the experience and expertise of the successful applicant (range $100,000 to $150,000).  We believe in rewarding our team members for their hard work and dedication.

Requirements

• Minimum 5+ years post graduate experience in Family Law
• Client focus and strong communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• High level of professionalism and ethical conduct
• Exposure to LEAP legal software helpful but not essential
