Form of workQuinn Allan is delighted to work exclusively with a global logistics organisation to help identify a Senior Finance Analyst to join their growing business. Reporting to the CFO, this newly created position will play a pivotal role in providing up-to-date and accurate information to leadership and help drive performance through critical business analysis and identifying opportunities for growth.
About the Role:
Reporting to the CFO and working alongside the leadership team, the Senior Finance Analyst is tasked with analysing business performance and providing accurate and up-to-date information. Sitting in the broader finance team, this role has one direct report and is responsible for their development and guidance. This is an ambitious company with long term growth plans and this position will play a key role in achieving this ambition.
Key Duties:
- Partner with specific business units (Sales, Supply Chain and Operations) to build robust financial models from scratch to [provide accurate and bespoke commercial insights.
- Manage annual budgeting process.
- Providing ad hoc reporting on business performance to senior management to inform strategic decisions.
- Liaising with financial reporting team to analyse performance vs budgeted, provide variance commentary, and reforecast when required.
- Prepare monthly reports for board.
- Develop and manage new reports to provide insights / highlight certain business performance.
- Analyse Capex and provide insights.
- Maintain cashflow models.
- Ad hoc reporting as required.
About You:
For success in this position, the Senior Finance Analyst will have a proven track record of analysing business performance, providing commercial insights, partnering with specific business units, and providing reports that add value to the business. You will have experience of working in a small team with high level exposure to senior leadership and be keen to grow your responsibilities as the company grows.
Key Attributes:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance position with a focus on financial analysis, planning and forecasting.
- Strong experience in Power BI.
- SAP experience is advantageous.
- Proven commercial acumen within a logistics / supply chain environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a history of building relationships with key stakeholders.
